3. Green Days : Dinosur and I

Synopsis 

  • Green Days: Dinosaur and I is an animated film produced without high-tech computer graphics and three-dimensional techniques. The film was hand-drawn in pencil, with 14 animators using 100,000-plus sheets over a period of 11 years.
    Set in a 1970s rural town, Green Days: Dinosaur and I is a nostalgic coming-of-age story about a high school girl who struggles to find meaning in her existence and learns to confront her biggest fears, while also falling in love for the first time. Yi-rang  has all but given up on her athletic aspirations, when she meets Cheol-soo (Song Chang-eui), who dreams of becoming an astronaut, and Soo-min (Oh Yeon-seo), a transfer student from Seoul. The film follows the adolescents’ budding romance, growing pains, hopes and dreams

Synopsis 

  • What does it take to form a women’s Olympic national ice hockey team? A few middle-aged women, a middle school student, and maybe even a North Korean defector? Kang Dae Woong is tasked with pulling together a women’s national ice hockey team in the hopes representing South Korea in the Winter Olympics. What he is able to assemble is a hodgepodge group of women — Lee Ji Won, Park Chae Kyung, Go Young Ja, Jo Mi Ran, Kim Ga Yeon, and Shin So Hyun — who can barely skate, let alone strike a hockey puck. Can this lackluster group form a team to even dream of making it to the Olympics?

The Face Reader

Synopsis 

  • Nae-kyung , the most skillful face reader in Joseon dynasty, was living in seclusion when he was offered a lucrative partnership by Yeon-hong (Kim Hye-su), a Korean geisha. Nae-kyung accepts the proposal to read the faces of Yeon-hong’s guests only to get involved in a murder case. With his face reading skills, Nae-kyung successfully identifies the murderer and his skills are soon acknowledged by King Moonjong who orders him to identify the potential traitors who threaten his reign. However after the unexpected death of Moonjong, Nae-kyung is courted by Grand Prince Sooyang  who yearns to become King himself by killing the young successor Danjong. Nae-kyung decides to keep his loyalty to the late King and help KIM Jong-seo protect the young King which forces him into the biggest power struggle in the history of the Joseon dynasty.
